Volunteering

The volunteer programme is delivered by Our Parklife on behalf of the London Legacy Development Corporation and enables people to participate in the legacy of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Become a Park Champion

The programme is ‘Investing in Volunteers’ accredited, promotes best practice volunteering and provides opportunities to learn new skills, build confidence, develop social networks and well-being; as well as empower a wide and diverse group of visitors to get the most from the Park.

Our Park Champions, with their enthusiasm, dedication and knowledge have continued the spirit of the 2012 Games Makers.

In 2019 volunteers gave up over 17,700 hours of their time creating £2,511,000 of value through subjective wellbeing across the programme in seven main roles supporting all aspects of the Park’s day to day life.

Greenspace Volunteering

We work with local communities to connect them to the Park through a number of environmental, greenspace and conservation volunteering activities. We are excited to launch a new project that will provide local groups with a chance to get involved in a number of opportunities on the Park from Spring 2021.

The aim of this project will be to  understand from local groups and communities what they want to get involved in and how the Park can provide opportunities for learning, connecting with the outdoors and food growing. We want to hear from you if you’re a local resident, teacher, community leader or simply interested in learning more about environmental volunteering opportunities and joining our activities on the Park.
